Today I have the second half of the green house sukan tara today. Since we can ponteng 2 periods for that, it appeared that more members came than yesterday. Some even bought new shirt just to attend the sukan tara..
School ends, I stayed for LM duty but only start at 3.30pm....
Went to library for NIE projects. Found a Times Magazine which have some info about the heroes of the environment. Then I found one hero called Ahmet Lokurlu. He invented the EMISSION-FREE SOLAR COOLING SYSTEM! He can changes sun energy into something cool!! yea everythincool =)
The process is like this:
The pressurized device (solar panel) produces 180 degree Celcius water and transformed it into steam. The stream powers a special kind of absorption chiller which is a refrigeration unit that employs heat instead of electricity.
Now is criticizing our government time. Since the cooling system is so high tech and save electricity, why MALAYSIA still don't sell it to the people? ?? We use air- conditioner all over the year but with not very high tech... It just like what Al Gore said (The formula edited by me)

Another large ice shelf is melting and collapsing in the Antarctica. 160 square miles of ice chunk, a little LARGER than KUALA LUMPUR!!
It just broke up like that in less than few weeks time.
What had our government do? Most transportation in Athens are using GTL fuel now which is a cleaner that created by changing natural gas into fuel. And the plant was in our country! BINTULU. But our own country aren't using it. Why? It just doesn't make any sence at all....

Huge Swath of Antarctica Ice Collapses
Yesterday I was watching that show in Discovery Channel. Although I only watched the second half which is what would happen if our planet average temperature increased 2 - 6 degree. The first half I should be able to know what would they say since I watched Al Gore's movie 'An Inconvenient Truth' and I am quite aware and concern about it all the time.
In the show, the warming effect can't be changed once it's over 2 degree celcius. It will continue to climb as long as human is still exist. Imagine when all the glacier had gone and Antarctic's ice shelf melted. Millions of people will be drowned and billions of people will be starving to death when there's NO water.
For me, I'm always tried to keep up with environmental news and updates. Besides that I was always trying to influence people to concern about the global warming like burning DVDs for 'An Inconvenient Truth' and share with my friends. Their response were poor, most of them said the movie was too boring even when I tell them about the movie about, they already start SLEEPING.
Many action had taken to control the average temperature to keep under 2 degrees. But I don't see any further action was taken in Malaysia. Deforesting happens everyday, open burning, polluted rivers.
When I see these things happen, I feel sad and angry because the government and the people were not concerning. I wish I have Ueki's skill to turn rubbish into trees.
What should I do?
